Arriving by train or public transport
From the Main Station (or its bus terminal) a bus or tram ride to TU Braunschweig’s Main Campus takes about 15 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at vending machines at the Main Station, aboard the tram from a vending machine or in busses from the driver (beware that the bus drivers might not speak English!). Alternatively, mobile tickets exists either by using the official →VRB App or the App of Germany’s main train company Deutsche Bahn, i.e,. the →DB Navigator. Note that mobile tickets are typically timed-tickets and are valid immediately after buying for 90 minutes – however, they must be bought before entering the bus or tram! For checking connections in Braunschweig, the DB Navigator or Google Maps are good options.
As a special offer for WebSci’26, Deutsche Bahn offers slightly price-reduced tickets; you can buy them by using this link and use them in print or in the DB Navigator: →https://vat.db-app.de/?event=50221&language=en
Finally, taxis are typically waiting in front of Braunschweig Main Station. A taxi ride from Braunschweig Main Station to the Main Campus will cost approximately €15. Uber is also available in Braunschweig since last year.
